STL Cardinal Rants |
I love the St. Louis Cardinals, but sometimes they piss me off. |
I’m going to be unable to watch the series this weekend and it’s really probably for the best. My poor heart just can’t take it.
The Cardinals broadcasters always yap about how they don’t believe in “must win” games. Guess what, gentlemen? These are must win games.
On a team with Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Jaime Garcia, Albert Pujols, Matt Holiday, and Yadier Molina… what’s happened in the past few weeks is just pitiful. There’s no life, no chemistry, no bounce.
I know a lot of people don’t agree with me on this, but when you have a team so full of talent like the Cardinals and they are not producing AT ALL, I blame the manager. Because something is lacking and it isn’t talent it’s heart, chemistry, cohesiveness, fight. The manager is supposed to infuse the team with those things, and honestly? I’ve never seen TLR do that. Between his mumbly talk, insane merry-go-round lineup, and either worrying too much about someone’s psyche or not enough, he’s never been the manager who inspired HEART.
Sometimes all his machinations pay off, but the reason why baseball is something I enjoy is because it isn’t all about talent, it has something to do with chemistry.
