STL Cardinal Rants

Any discussion of TLR’s shortcomings is worth a reblog.  I could not have said the bolded portion better myself:

Tony La Russa, you really should get rid of the Colby Rasmus guy. He’s a total bum. All he does is complain! (Maybe? I don’t even know what he’s done exactly to displease you. Perhaps he doesn’t like all the pitching changes?) I mean, sure, he’s a 24 year old center fielder under team control until 2015 who is good with the glove, has a good batting eye and has legitimate 30 home run potential. And only four hits and two home runs last night? Was he even trying?  Do you know how many people there are in the world that can do what he does? Millions. Cut the scrub.

And can someone explain how Tony La Russa has had such a productive career while pushing so many good players away? Scott Rolen is only the most recent example before Rasmus.

As for the Braves, it looks like they want to give both the East and the Wild Card away. Losing two out of three to the Pirates followed by getting demoralized by Adam Wainwright. At least losing to Adam Wainwright makes sense because that’s going to happen more times than not.
