STL Cardinal Rants

Last night I turned on the game and it was 4-2, the Cardinals were winning.  I had the thought, maybe… maybe they can actually pull this off.

And almost immediately the Braves scored 5 runs.

I feel like two things are happening with the top 3 in the pitching rotation:

1) Burnout.  It’s been a long season and they’ve been carrying the team on their back the WHOLE time.

2) Trying TOO hard to be perfect, because they probably feel like they HAVE to be perfect in order to win a game.  And even sometimes when they’re perfect they can’t win.

I can’t blame this loss all on TLR, because if John Jay doesn’t flat out miss that ball in center, they could have won.  And yet I’m perplexed by a few of TLRs moves.  Nick Stavinoha batting in the 9th?  I just… I can’t…  

GAH.
